Who’s In Therapy?
People often ask “will therapy work for me”. My response is always the same, “If you will work in therapy, then therapy will work for you”. The ideal candidate is the individual who is willing to do just that…work. Its important to remember that you are the expert on your life; therefore, you have the power and strength within to make the changes that you wish to see. Are you a parent in need of support in dealing with disruption in behavior patterns of your child? Maybe your child is having a difficult time transitioning in their academic setting or maybe they are experiencing bullying. Maybe you feel that your son or daughter need an opportunity to process events in their lives with someone other than a family member. Maybe your child is well adjusted and matriculating through life seamlessly; however, you as parent are struggling with the transition. Coffee, Tea, & Therapy may be the place for you.
Families experience a number of events throughout their lifetime. Sometimes, those life events are too difficult to process alone and it may be necessary to seek help from a professional. One of the more common situations I see in my practice are blended families. In particular, blended families who consider themselves to be a high conflict family. If you’re needing assistance learning to effectively co-parent, this may be the place for you. Maybe all of the ingredients in your blended family have not quite blended yet and you’d like assistance in facilitating a seamless transition. How about giving me a try?
Karen White said it best when she sang “I’m not your superwoman”, although, somewhere along the way, we as women decided that if we weren’t superwomen, we weren’t enough. That’s simply not true! It is not a weakness to acknowledge that we cannot do everything at the same time. As a matter of fact, there is freedom in the word “No”! If you are a woman who would like to be supported in your quest for self-discovery or simply needs to process the ebbs and flow of life, I would be honored to be of service.
Marriage can be beautiful, especially with the right partner! Couples must also be willing to put in work. What happens when the work becomes back breaking work? When that happens, it leaves cracks for things to seep into your marital foundation. Hey listen, if you’re a couple trying to reconnect after infidelity, lying, financial strain, difficulty parenting as a unit, adjusting after a military deployment, and beyond, give me a call. I’m here to help!
